Britomart’s very own mini department store, Curate located at 5a Gore Street, Auckland CBD has officially marked its opening, recently celebrating with a full scale launch event for fashion media, celebrities and VIP’s.
The evening hosted in store included delicious nibbles by Mint kitchen catering, cocktails by the award winning bar staff from Suite and music by renowned DJ, Murry Sweetpants.
With no fashion event complete without a showcase of the latest threads, the evening was topped off with a catwalk show where each model sported a look from one of the twelve designers represented in Curate. Hair and makeup was also unique to each model, encapsulating the individual style of each designer’s aesthetic.
Curate, the brainchild of fashion veterans Paul and Jill Blomfield introduces a unique retail experience to Auckland’s CBD. Right down to the creative interior designed by Material Creative, the store represents New Zealand fashion and design at its best.
A selection of New Zealand’s top labels including BLAK, Chaos & Harmony, Cybele, Julie Eynon Jewellery, Neverblack, Sabatini, Salasi, Sheryl May, Stolen Girlfriends, Taylor, TK plus more were handpicked for Curate to offer customers a unique selection of fine fashion.
Branching out from apparel, Curate also includes a selection of designer commodities such as Ecoya candles, Saben bags and most recently, art work by emerging Auckland painter, Matt Arbuckle.
