Dig out your best wig, feather boa and heels; the most fabulous Aussie drag queen film is heading back to the big screen for an interactive cinema experience. Presented by Caluzzi, Event Cinema and Theta Project, Priscilla Queen of the Desert: Interactive Movie Experience will take over Westfield Newmarket's VMAX Cinema with uninterrupted party vibes.
All the props will be provided for the interactive screening, so all you need to do is choose between the daybeds, recliners and leather seats and then grab something to drink from the in-cinema bar.
The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is a 1994 Australian road comedy written and directed by Stephan Elliott. The film follows two drag queens (Hugo Weaving and Guy Pearce) and a transgender woman (Terence Stamp) as they journey across the outback from Sydney to Alice Springs in a tour bus named Priscilla.
The allocated private function area will be open for ticket holders from 8pm, with film kicking off at 9pm. Entertainment will be provided by drag queens Anita Wigl'it and Kita Mean and music curated by the fabulous DJ Jordan Eskra. There will be prizes for the best dressed.
