Overview
Sibling popera-trio Sol3 Mio will round off their highly successful year with an outdoor concert at Auckland’s Villa Maria Winery. Suitably titled Christmas in the Vines, the show will have a seasonal theme and, given the venue, will no doubt have the crowd in good spirits.
The group, made up of brothers Pene Pati and Amitai Pati and their cousin Moses Mackay, came into the limelight with the release of their self-titled debut album. Featuring an operatic take on a range of traditional and popular songs, the album was the biggest selling album in New Zealand in 2013 and now boasts a 6 x platinum certification - approximately 30,000 more copies sold in NZ than Lorde’s Pure Heroine.
