Overview

Something felt, something shared investigates empathy in the setting of the internet, Internet folklore, how we represent ourselves to the world and how we can record our relationships. It's basically a thesis on social media, but presented as an art exhibition.

The group exhibition combines Ruby Joy Eade's research on empathy and affect drawn from obscure forms of social media and online forums, Claire Hartley McLean's exchange of energies between humans and non-humans (arbitrary psychic energy readings included), Kalya Ward's work on "the stories we tell ourselves about ourselves", and Gabrielle Amodeo's addresses the space a relationship holds through a facsimile of the entire floor of the house she and her partner own and have, until recently, lived in.

Something felt, something shared is on show at Enjoy from May 7 until May 30. Head along and connect to something other than your wifi.
