Overview

Suite Gallery is hosting a tasting board of artistry this summer with its second {Suite} Summer Series of exhibitions - featuring one artist each week for nine weeks. The artists featured are Emily Hartley-Skudder, Arie Hellendoorn, Anton Parsons, Adrienne Millwood, Ans Westra, Rob Cherry, Grace Crothall, Neil Pardington, Douglas Stichbury and Fiona Pardington.

Highlights of the 9-week rotating gallery include Fiona Pardington, Neil Pardington and Anton Parsons. Fiona Pardington is a Scottish-Maori New Zealand artist who specialising in analog darkroom photography techniques - hand printing and toning all of her work personally. She is well known for her still life pictures of bird nests.

The exhibition's other Pardington, Wellington-based Neil Pardington, collects deceased Kiwis, lizards and other animals in jars and photographs them.

Anton Parsons is a modern sculptor whose past work includes two giant aluminium slabs of braille on Lambton Quay, and a curved sculpture consisting of various numbers titled "Passing Time" - presumably a nod to the passing of dates on a calendar/the figures on a watch.

The gallery is free to enter.
