Australia's Insane Mini-Golf Bar Holey Moley Is Coming to Auckland
The two-storey venue will feature two bars and 27 pop culture-themed holes.
Australian-born mini-golf bar Holey Moley is coming to Auckland, adding some friendly, booze-fuelled competition to the average night out.
Created by parent company, Funlab, Holey Moley brings together a mini-golf course and the humming atmosphere of a bar, turning traditional putt-putt into a sensory labyrinth for kidults.
There are currently 11 Holey Moley venues across the ditch, with outposts in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Sydney. The first-of-its-kind Auckland venue will sprawl across two storeys and boast 27-themed holes. Just what each stop on the course will involve is yet to be revealed; however, our friends in Australia can currently tap their way through Game of Thrones, Super Mario, Alice in Wonderland and The Simpsons rooms. Other venues also include karaoke, ping pong tables and old-school video games.
Live DJs will perform while two bars, one named The Caddyshack, will serve craft beer and an appropriate pun-laden cocktail list that includes the likes of The Sugar Caddy, the Teeyonce Knowles and the Long Island Iced Tee. A full-service kitchen will also boast a menu of burgers, loaded fries and bar snacks.
Teeing off from 11 October, the bar will be found along the Viaduct in the building formerly known as The Nightingale at 204 Quay Street. It will operate seven days until late. Reservations are now being taken.
