Dirty Little Secret Has Launched a New Menu Dedicated to Fried Chicken
The lineup of fried chicken, salad bowls, burgers and sangas serves as the venue's first in-house menu.
After a grand unveiling at Wellington Fried Chicken Festival, Taranaki Street rooftop bar Dirty Little Secret has launched its full 'Dirty Birdie' menu to the public. The lineup of fried chicken, salad bowls, burgers and sangas serves as the venue's first in-house menu.
If you hadn't already figured it out from the name, fried chicken is the main event. By default it's served as tenders with honey butter, Dirty Bird's own secret sauce and pickles. Or for another $2 you can upgrade to the buffalo style made with Frank's Red Hot sauce, maple syrup and a dollop of butter. The fried bird can be ordered in a white bread sanga alongside the interesting pairing of salmon caviar, or stacked both inside and on top of the 'Sticky Fingers' burger creation with blue cheese mayo and red cabbage slaw.
'The OG' features crispy chicken tenders between white bread alongside miso butter, lettuce, pickles and mayo, while 'A Dirty HSP' is the venue's take on loaded fries, with fried chicken, liquid cheddar, secret and smokey barbecue sauces.
Those looking to fit in their five+ a day could opt for the herb and lemon pepper grilled chicken bowl with black rice, kimchi, marinated broccoli and fermented chilli mayo. Elsewhere on the menu, there's roasted cauliflower with herb garlic, crispy buffalo broccoli, the charred eggplant bowl, plus buttery mash with gravy.
Diners can view a visual menu and then order and pay on their phone by scanning one of the eatery's QR codes, so there is no need to leave the table and the conversation.
Dirty Little Secret's new fried chicken menu is available for both lunch and dinner, seven days a week. For more information and to see the full menu, visit dirtylittlesecret.co.nz.
