Bin those Aunt Betty’s mix-in-a-box cookies, take off your apron and stop sipping on that ludicrously-priced organic chocolate milk; the real deal is back in Auckland. Moustache Milk & Cookie Bar has completed its epic transformation into the Moustache Milk & Cookie Bus, and as you read is serving up chocolate-chipped joy and frothed milky glee in a neighbourhood near you.

Moustache was once one of Auckland’s favourite local drop-ins, trading their brand of delectable snacks, from their handy centrally-located store. A combination of unfortunate factors, mainly the absurd cost of rent in Auckland, led them to close, devastating hordes of loyal cookie aficionados. But owner Deeana Yang's steadfast dedication to providing Aucklanders the milk and cookies they deserve saw her raise over $90,000 crowdfunding on pledgeme.co.nz in order to buy and fit out her 1978 Bedford Bus.

After closing the doors to the Wellesley Street location last month, the Moustache mobile happiness dispenser is now open for business, operating in Aotea Square from 9am until 4pm until Sunday. Following its brief stint in the CBD, the cookie bus will set up in close proximity to Sylvia Park for three months, with plans to eventually share the delights across the nation. Despite this small, dark lining on the cloud of the Moustache Bus, their famous cookie flavours still remain and are the tastiest we’ve had. It's good to have you back Moustache.
