Help Dogs in Need by Going for a Pint with Your Pooch
The proceeds of every pint will go to the SPCA.
On Saturday, July 14, six dog-friendly bars across Auckland are hosting an annual SPCA fundraiser where the proceeds of every pint you drink will go towards the SPCA.
Stop in to Garage Project Kingsland, The Beer Spot, The Lumsden Freehouse, Brew on Quay, 16 TUN or Grand Central to make your after work pint count for a good cause. Six different 50-litre kegs were kindly donated to the various bars by Golding's Free Dive and Garage Project in order to make it all possible.
Every year, the SPCA's 40 centres across New Zealand receives more than 45,000 animals through their doors as well as 14,000 animal welfare complaints. The SPCA relies almost entirely on public donations, with only a little bit of funding coming from the government — making fundraising events like Pints for Pooches crucial for the charity's operations.
You are encouraged to stop by participating bars on July 16 for a pint or two with your dog in tow (if you have one), and highly encouraged to arrive in matching outfits (although this is not a requirement).
