You are what you eat. Well, in this case, you are what you drink. The 'selfie coffee' trend has arrived in Auckland.

According to stuff, Wairau Valley's Cafe Casu is the first cafe in New Zealand where coffee lovers can enjoy the novelty of printing their own image on top of a cup of joe. The edible selfie craze has swept the globe over the past few years and you can now eat your face on a cookie, reimagine your head as chocolate, and burn your impression into toast. Cafe Casu owner Mira Kim was apparently inspired by the selfie coffee craze that's been popping up in Asia over the past three years.

How it works: customers at the cafe upload or take their selfie on Kim's phone, it's then connected to a latte art printer, a freshly made coffee is placed under the machine and the image is dusted on top using fine particles of coffee beans and food colouring.

By default, all coffees ordered are decorated with one of a selection of slogans or images. If you want to guzzle back your own image, it'll cost you an extra dollar.
