Nins Bin
Kiwis have been stopping here on their way from Christchurch to Kaikoura for decades. You can’t drive this way and not buy some crayfish and chips to go with it.
Overview
The blue and white caravan at Kaikoura is iconic — especially for South Island road trips — and a serve of crayfish is essential. After all, Kaikoura means 'eat crayfish' in Maori. The crays are a little pricey but their freshness is worth every penny. Eating like a king while looking out at the teal green ocean is an unbeatable thing to do and often missed by tourists.
