Not in the traditional spirit of disheveled festival hedonism, the new iPhone app will help you carefully and soberly plan your Big Day Out carousing.
Want to keep track of who is playing, when and where, at Big Day Out? Proud owner of an all-important iPhone? Then download this shiny, new application for free (also available for Android).
Not only will it enable you to schedule your day, but it will also help you keep track of any interesting sideshows. In addition, it lets you upload pics from the day direct to the BDO Facebook page, with the prize of a trip to Chicago’s Lollapalooza festival awarded for the best. Most importantly, it includes a virtual lighter for you to wave in the air during those more emotional musical moments.
With this year’s festival featuring a jam-packed line-up of stellar artists such as M.I.A, LCD Soundsystem, Primal Scream and the Bloody Beetroots, a little planning may well come in handy. Not in the traditional spirit of disheveled festival hedonism, but hey, times are a-changing.
Tickets for Big Day Out are still available at Ticketmaster, with festival-goers on day two (Thursday 27 January) allowed to bring a friend for free.
