Overview

It makes sense that Nedlands — part of Perth's famous 'Golden Triangle' of affluent western suburbs — would have a venue that separates itself from the pack. The Resident Bar is a gorgeous space with a white-on-white theme, vaulted ceilings and a huge boab tree as the beer garden centrepiece.

You really can't put a foot wrong here. There's a comprehensive drinks list featuring spritzes, negronis and all things nice, as well as tasty Mediterranean-style fare — hello, haloumi fries ($13). But we feel this venue is best enjoyed at brunch, when you can indulge in a three-course menu. Highlights include the buttermilk pancake stack with brownie bits and the coconut chia pudding — with unlimited bubbly, it's just $55.

On Sundays, a DJ spins from the second floor — don't worry, there's a bar up there, too — and this little part of Perth most definitely brings the party.
