The Four Seasons Hotel is pulling out all the stops right now for Oprah's visit to Sydney - the Presidential Suite, a personal chef trained by Neil Perry and a view of the harbour from 34 floors up. But does it have a recording studio?

Billed as Europe's first music hotel, Nhow Berlin features a dedicated music floor and guitars on the room service menu. With interiors designed by Karim Rachid and a 70 foot reflective cantilever poking out between the 8th and 10th floors, the Nhow definitely makes quite a statement among the surrounding industrial buildings lining Berlin's Spree River.

But hotel's star attraction is its Music Sound Floor. Overseen by Lautsark, the music agency that runs Hansa Studios where artists like David Bowie, Iggy Pop and Nick Cave have recorded, the floor contains analog mixing gear and digital suites that visiting musicians can use when recording their next hit album.

Now why didn't I think of that?
