Overview

There's something rather cool about being ahead of the curve when it comes to cinema, watching the latest and greatest flicks on the silver screen well before anyone else. And at Australia's biggest short film festival, you can do just that. The internationally acclaimed Flickerfest is celebrating its 31st year in 2022, too, so you can expect an A-class lineup of cinematic delights.

The annual short film festival is Australia's leading Academy Award-qualifying short film fest, and is backed with BAFTA recognition, too. In February, you can catch screenings under the stars at the iconic picture garden in Camelot Art's outdoor cinema.

Get a window into the most exciting contemporary short films with both national and international acclaim. The films featured are handpicked as the most inspiring, provocative and entertaining among the whopping 3100 submissions this year. So this program is not one you want to miss. On Thursday, February 24, it'll be showcasing the Best of Australian Shorts, with drinks and pizza from 6.30pm, plus live tunes from DJ Larry D, before the screenings.

Meanwhile, on Friday and Saturday night, you can expect International Shorts and Short Laughs Comedy respectively.
