And just like that, the cosmo gets a summery upgrade.

There’s a certain retro charm to the classic cosmopolitan. While for many of us the drink is associated with a certain zeitgeist-y TV show of the 90s, its origins are believed to go back as far back as the 1930s — well before Carrie and pals brought them into our living rooms.

But there’s still a lot to like about the combination of vodka, triple sec, cranberry and lime juice — especially when you can transform it into a more contemporary, refreshing serve with just one more ingredient.

We’ve teamed up with Grey Goose to showcase how you can level up your cocktail hour this summer with this refreshing take on the classic cosmo.
