Overview

With a rustic exposed-brick interior, sleek wooden tables, low-hanging Edison light bulbs and haphazard polaroids adorning the walls, this hip 'n' happening Attadale eatery marries old with new, seamlessly. Similarly, the menu covers all the classics yet has an experimental edge. It's this juxtaposition, this contrast, which keeps The Dough Room interesting and a firm Perth favourite.

This place nails the simplicity that is a margherita with fior di latte and the combo of eggplant, ham and mushroom (which it calls Ms Loren). And it thinks outside the (pizza) box with the likes of a charcoal diamond crust — pitch black and very fun. The key to its success is the base,  which is light and fluffy and everything you could hope for. It also helps that it's BYO, so you can bring your favourite plonk to have with your pie.

The Dough Room also does takeaway and delivery, for those nights you'd prefer to devour crusts in the comfort of your own home. Be sure to save room for dessert, though, as the tasty tiramisu ($10.50) and Nutella calzone ($17.50) are must-trys.
