Overview
Central Otago is known for its pinot noir, but once you've sampled some of the other varietals growing here, you'll quickly see that it's an excellent all-round growing region with some of the most beautifully situated vineyards in the world. With around 17 wineries in the Gibbston Valley between Queenstown and Cromwell, it's a good idea to plan your circuit around, whether you are cycling or touring by car.
