While It’s Still Legal
Before becoming a political satirist Steve Hughes was once a member of a trash metal band.
Overview
Australian libertarian comedian Steve Hughes will be performing at San Fran Bath House from April 28 until May 3 as part of the NZ International Festival of Comedy.
Hughes' comic career started in the mid 1990s at an open mic night at the Sydney Comic Store. He quickly progressed, working as an MTV Australia host before moving to the UK in 2002 and performing in various countries including Sweden, Ireland and Belgium.
The ex-trash/black metal band member has been known to deliver keenly astute satire on homosexuality, government regulations, pop culture, working and the homeless. While It's Still Legal promises to continue along the same vein of thoughtful, outspoken commentary delivered by a knowledgeable and provocative personality.
