New Zealand Fringe Festival is coming back to Wellington, hosting a huge program of more than 800 artists and performers at 50 different venues over three fun-filled weeks.

From Friday, February 16–Saturday, March 9, the capital city will be bought to life through dazzling performers both from New Zealand and across the world. The lineup represents 26 different genres of art and performance, with productions coming to Aotearoa via Sydney, Adelaide and San Diego.

As part of Fringe, Cinematic Light Orchestra will be celebrating their latest album release with an additional 20 strings players joining the already huge 18-person jazz band. The festival is also welcoming a new act to the bill, dubbed Fringe Late Lounge Hubbub that is set to bring an extra dose of lunacy to the festival.

Public Trust Hall will be making its venue debut at the Fringe Festival after undergoing major renovations over the last couple of years, bringing the 115 year old hall into the modern day. The hall will host Māreikura Lumina: A Celestial Symphony of Sound, Light, and Culture for one night only on Thursday, February 8, 2024. This show fills up the hall's massive amount of space with music, lights and more, creating an immersive audiovisual celebration.

Director of New Zealand Fringe Festival Vanessa Stacey said the team were "so excited" to share 2024's programme, following the record success of the 2023 festival. "[We] are hosting an incredible lineup of local legends and exciting international artists, and featuring 26 different genres and art forms," Stacey said.

"New Zealand Fringe will dazzle and delight you."

The New Zealand Fringe Festival will be held at various performance spaces across Wellington, from Friday, February 16–Saturday, March 9. Tickets to the festival will go on sale on Thursday, December 14, and can be purchased on the Fringe Festival website.
