Quavo, One Third of Rap Trio Migos, Is Joining the Bay Dreams 2024 Festival Lineup

Bay Dreams 2024 could possibly be the most star-studded festival of New Zealand's summer, with Quavo, one third of superstar rap trio Migos, just added to the lineup. Although Quavo is well-known for his standing in the successful group, he's made his own name for himself in the rap world, collaborating on tracks with Justin Bieber, Post Malone and Drake, just to name a few.

The January festival will be returning to the north and south islands in 2024, with the first festival taking place on Wednesday, January 3 at Wharepai Domain in Tauranga, before heading down the country to Queenstown on Friday, January 5.

Bay Dreams first launched as a one-location festival at Mount Maunganui in 2016, but expanded to the South Island three years later, with the first Bay Dreams South kicking off in Nelson. In 2024, organisers are keen to create a more boutique feel to the festival, booking easily accessible locations with lots of natural shade.

Joining Quavo in the 2024 lineup is a mixture of international and local talent. NLE Choppa headlines the two massive days, with Bay Dreams North marking his first New Zealand performance. On the other end of the spectrum, American rapper Yelawolf will be making his third Bay Dreams appearance, while Australia's Luude will pop across the ditch to take the festival stage.

There have also been two other additions to the lineup, with Wax Mustang heading along to the Bay Dreams South and Delta Heavy making an appearance at Bay Dreams North. On the local front, festival organisers are pushing up-and-comers, with two different groups supporting the main lineup at each festival.
