Arahi, Genesis Owusu and The Exponents Are Set to Headline Hawke's Bay's Nest Fest in 2024

The 2024 lineup for music festival Nest Fest has been revealed, with both homegrown and international talent set to take the Hawke's Bay stage across Thursday, January 4–Friday, January 5. The proudly independent festival will be held at the tree-lined fields of Hastings' Tomoana Showgrounds, with options to camp or to enjoy just for the day.

Nest Fest prides itself on carefully selecting bands that the team believes are shaping New Zealand's music landscape, choosing acts from a range of different genres from all around the world. This indie-focused ethos doesn't just pertain to the bands that the team selects, but the sponsors and the vibe of the festival as well.

Ghanaian Australian artist Genesis Owusu is just one of the big names appearing at Nest Fest for 2024. The multi award-winning performer will be joined by electronic producer Barry Can't Swim — who won over the hearts and dance shoes of crowds at this year's Glastonbury — as well as Arahi and Foley. More names to still to be announced.

Festivalgoers will have the chance to groove to some legendary bands — and some new ones, too. Some of New Zealand's best artists will be appearing on the Nest Fest stage, with Katchafire, Ladi6 and The Exponents all on the bill.

For those looking for a new favourite, Promiseland might be what you're looking for. Excelling in performance art, punk vocals and a touch of spoken word, Promiseland is sure to put on a unique performance. He's even been endorsed by The Strokes, who he supported during their Asia tour.
