Overview
Bookshop meets café, Ekor sits idyllically on College St. On a nice day the sun streams right through the storefront making it quite the place for an afternoon coffee. Nikki Ward, a veteran of Vic Books steps out to nurture this amalgamation of your local bookstore and your convenient coffee stop. Brewing Peoples Coffee, they've just introduced the trendy matcha latte. The café serves a good brew and to accompany it, there's a selection of Leed Street bakery goods, including a very tempting looking quiche.
Swedish for squirrel, with a tale behind the name, Ekor goes against any belief that paperbacks are dying, this place stays true to the magic of that new book smell. A snuggly place to indulge in quiet time and treat yourself, there's gifts and trinkets around every corner. Tucked away sits a kid's section and shelves stocked to the brim with titles you've been searching for.
