As a part of the 25th NZ Fringe Festival, PlayShop Performance Company are performing 10 Things I Hate About Us. Much like the inspiration behind its title, the story is the ultimate romcom, following a couple through the struggles of love and life. Unfortunately there will be no Julia Stiles, Joseph Gordon Levitt or Heath Ledger,  however Wellington’s most promising up and coming actors will be starring in the show.

We are introduced to the story in the midst of a breakup. Then we are thrown back to the beginning of the central relationship, where we witness the first date, the integral moments and the conversations that lead the couple to love. The most interesting part of this play, however, is the uncertain ending. The actors will be improvising on stage, and taking inspiration and plot twists from the audience as they go.

Whilst we can’t be sure of a happy or tragic ending, improvs are generally pretty entertaining, and PlayShop’s budding thespians are sure to do the show justice.
