Overview

The four playing card suits (clubs, spades, diamonds and hearts) will serve as the inspiration for this collaborative dinner series. Each Deck of Chefs event will see four top Wellington chefs team up and rotate between four local restaurants to showcase their individual culinary flair. In the kitchen at each event will be Jonny Taggart of BambuchiSan, Asher Boote of Daisy's, Laura Greenfield of Field & Green, and Scott and Zoe from the Beach House.

The 'deck of cards' theme is loose and serves as creative guide to create a cohesive four-course meal. The first 'clubs' dinner promises black garlic or 'the chef club' as the star ingredient across all four dishes. From there, diners can expect an entirely vegan event, one offering classic dishes with a luxurious twist, and then dishes that are the close to each of the chefs' hearts.

The series begins in Hataitai at BambuchiSan on 28 July, and then heads into the city to Field & Green on 11 August. Later in the month (25 August) the four-piece move to Owhiro Bay's Beach House & Kiosk, before the final dinner hits the newly refurbished Daisy's (previously Tinakori Bistro) in Thorndon on 8 September.

Tickets for each event cost $85 and are available through Humanitix.
