Overview

As part of the New Zealand Festival of the Arts is the musical evening with Aldous Harding, Weyes Blood and Purple Pilgrims. On March 13, the three musical acts will share their indie stylings onstage at the Michael Fowler Centre.

Harding creates offbeat, indie folk music and has been described as 'entrancing', 'original' and 'brilliant'. In 2019 she won the prestigious APRA Silver Scroll for her off-kilter single 'The Barrel'.

The other musical acts follow suit, bringing dreamy beats to stage. Weyes Blood, otherwise known as Natalie Mering, is known for her psychedelic folk and has just released a new album called Titanic Rising. Purple Pilgrims, aka sisters Clementine and Valentine Nixon, create music that blends folk, pop and jazz.

The event is curated by Bret McKenzie, well known Oscar-winning songwriter and half of the Flight of the Conchords duo. The event is selling fast, with tickets starting at $89. Doors for the show open at 8pm.
