Overview

What better way to celebrate Christmas than with a show that takes you back to the glorious 70s in good, old Aotearoa?

Cringe Worthy Christmas is back in 2019 following a sellout season to help you celebrate the silly season in style. The show, put on by Andrea Sanders of The Beatgirls, brings singing, fashion, ridiculous comedy and a healthy dose of nostalgia to the stage.

Regional News called the tribute to New Zealand's 70s decade, "A harmony-laden, tangerine-hued, bell-bottomed adventure through the songs and artists that dominated the decade."

The show stars a high-energy cast including Carrie McLaughlin, Tom Knowles and Jeff Kingsford-Brown, along with Andrea Sanders — two of whom were original members of The Beatgirls.

Head along for a laugh or two and the chance to revisit the majestic awkwardness and unabashed style and flair that graced us a few decades ago. With only one more week of shows bookings are encouraged. All shows take place at Circa Theatre and tickets start at $25 for under 25s, or $52 for an adult.
