Overview

The eclecticism and endless diversity of Cuba street is infamous in the city: the bohemian boulevard is home to crazy outfit ensembles, both hidden and well-known food gems and excellent vintage stores. What happens, then when you create a street festival centred around the street's iconic spirit?

Cuba Dupa.

Taking cues from the ol' Cuba Street Festival and reformatting it into a playground of events, dance troupes, food, music, stage acts, and entertainers, the whole of Cuba has been remapped into seven distinct areas throughout the streets and laneways of the area. Stages dotted around, buskers' areas, musicians atop buildings, and courtyards full of acts make up a festival that doesn't get any more Wellington. The food options promise to be out of this world too - a Moore Wilson street food festival, as well as the classic Night Markets promise a huge lineup of over 60 food vendors and options. Don't bother bringing a car (Cuba is notoriously horrid for parking)- take the bus, train or bike to the event.
