Eat the Film: Alien
Celebrate the 40th anniversary of 'Alien' with a series of themed dishes and cocktails.
Overview
Back in 1979, Ridley Scott's sublimely terrifying tour-de-force burst from John Hurt's chest onto our screens. Alien has since spawned an array of terrific and terrible sequels, from the all-guns-blazing Aliens to the loved and loathed Prometheus prequels. However, it's the original that's consistently heralded as one of the greatest movies of all time.
What's not usually associated with Sigourney Weaver's gun toting heroine Ripley is the feeling of being a bit peckish. Unless you happen to be a Xenomorph, that is. For the adventurous among you, Roxy Cinema is here to help. Their latest Eat the Film event is dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the big screen classic.
Nic Spicer, Coco at the Roxy's head chef, has created a series of treats that are specially crafted to match scenes or moments from the film. $75 gets you the screening, a selection of dishes and an array of cocktails to match.
So blast open the airlock and get in there, because tickets aren't going to last.
