Eat Your Art Out
Nibble your way through one of the New Zealand Portrait Gallery's exhibitions.
Overview
If you're feeling a Wellington On a Plate shaped hole in your heart (read stomach), then the New Zealand Portrait Gallery has the fix for you.
The exquisitely talented Caitlin le Harivel is returning to the New Zealand Portrait Gallery with Eat Your Art Out, a unique edible art experience created specifically for the gallery.
Le Harviel's latest endeavour is inspired by the Poutokomanawa: The Carmen Rupe Generation and Jaqueline Fahey's Suburbanites exhibition, which finishes up on 1 November. Eat Your Art Out guests can take a step back in time (to the 1970s) and delight in a bit of retro fare with a scrumptious melting fondue sculpture, some cleverly concealed 'sly grog', edible lipstick, literal edible art and of course a private viewing the exhibition itself. What better way to see out an exhibition.
Eat Your Art Out is a not to be missed experience for foodies and art lovers alike.
Tickets are limited, so book now.
