Overview

The 'Rocket Man' will give his first New Zealand performance in nine years to the people of Wellington. Sir Elton John has secret love affair with the Capital, also making it his destination of choice the last time he played here in 2006.

On top of the usual display of outrageous glasses and sequin-lined trousers, the November 21, 2015 concert will feature all the hits and lesser known album tracks from his five-decade-long career. Elton is one of the top-selling solo artists of all time, having sold more than 250 million records worldwide. He also holds the record for the second biggest selling single of all time with 37 million copies sold. It comes behind Bing Crosby's 'White Christmas' (50 million copies).

The concert also marks the release of the 40th anniversary album, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.
