Overview
Jenga, the 54-block game that was invented and launched by Leslie Scott in 1983 is taking on an even more competitive edge at the Southern Cross' weekly Giant Jenga Competition nights.
The word is derived from the Swahili language in which it means "to build" - which isn't exactly the aim of the game, but let us not dwell too much on the details.
For those who aren't familiar with Jenga (what did you do with your childhood?), the point of the game is to keep your little Babel-like tower standing, while pulling one of its wooden blocks out of its structure one at a time. You win by not being the person who gets 50-odd blocks falling on you, on your turn.
The Giant Jenga Competition kicks off at 8pm.
