Overview
Auckland by way of Dunedin four-piece Ha the Unclear have been charming audiences for a few years with their quirky, hook-driven indie pop.
Singer Michael Cathro's vocals give a distinct sense of place which juxtaposes nicely with the band's universal sound; the interplay between three-piece harmonies, jangly guitar work and bizarre lyrics about a phobia of mannequins and a surreal bus trip down Mt Eden Road are what makes them really stand out.
The group's album Invisible Lines is due for physical and digital release on 11 August. To celebrate, they're taking to the road on a five-date tour around New Zealand. Performing at Meow on Saturday, 11 August, the show promises to be a fun evening filled with nostalgic, nu-wave shine. Tickets are $14 plus booking fee and are available at Under the Radar.
