Overview

Cosy cocktail bar The Library has served up themed events spanning everything from Harry Potter to Jane Austin and Bridgerton. This May, it's conducting a cocktail experience around Hamilton — Lin-Manuel Miranda's game-changing musical, not the North Island city.

The event on Saturday, May 29 will line up five courses of Hamilton-inspired cocktails and paired canapés from the kitchen. Fans of the Tony-winning musical can raise a glass to freedom with the likes of the 'Gin-Manuel Miranda' across two two-hour sessions: 12–2pm or 2.30–4.30pm.

The $40 ticket price includes all of the above and guided tasting from Beam Suntory ambassador Rory Donnelly. Email [email protected] to secure your spot.

Haven't become a Hamilton obsessive yet? Not quite sure why it has been one of the most-talked about theatre shows of the past six years? The critically acclaimed hip hop musical, for which Miranda wrote the music, lyrics and the book, is about the life of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, as well as inclusion and politics in current-day America.
