Hideous Sun Demon and Miss June

Overview

For the first time, Perth self-described "garagey, postpunky, new wavey rhythmic punk" outfit Hideous Sun Demon will alight on Valhalla on Friday for their first Wellington (and their first NZ tour) show. They're pretty much the most laid-back band ever — starting as a joke band playing at the local YMCA, finalising their members last year and supporting The Meanies on their 25th Anniversary tour. Expect lots of rhythmic post punk and skeezy Australian tunes.

They'll be supported by Miss June, the local legends who have just released their newest single 'I Don't Wanna Be Your Dog'. Last year's music video release 'Anxiety on Repeat' was a banger and this latest is no different. Expect to see a lot more of these guys soon, with the release of a new album slated for later in the year.
