Overview

In 1973, a small group of photographers spearheaded by John Turner  gathered together to start publishing regular magazines as well as promoting art photography through workshops, exhibitions and lectures in New Zealand.  Forty years and hundreds of photographers later, PhotoForum is still running.

As a special little birthday celebration, 150 key images are being displayed at the City Gallery, many of which have become iconic over the years. Names such as Robin Morrison, Peter Peryer, Anne Noble, Laurence Aberhart, Fiona Clark and Peter Black as well as lesser known but equally talented photographers' work will be hanging on the walls.

History in the Taking will be on display at the City Gallery from 14 March until 14 June.
