Overview

For the last six years, Wellington craft beer lovers have enjoyed the rare opportunity to taste once-a-year brews. Now in its seventh year running, this year's Hopstock promises to be the biggest yet.

Craft Beer Capital's Hopstock is a celebration of 'green hop beers'. Fresh-picked hops spoil quickly and have to processed and dried for brewers to use throughout the year. A green hop is one that's been recently picked, giving its beer a unique aroma and flavour.

Wellington's best craft beer venues have each created their own, one-of-a-kind brew for this event. With a trail running from Bebemos to Fortune Favours, over 30 venues are involved, and each have exclusive pouring rights to their beer.

There's no charge to attend. Pick up a stamp card from any participating venue, and you're on your way. You can also get stamp for food or non-alcoholic drinks, so whether you're a beer-lover or not, it isn't one you want to miss.

Hopstock runs from May 1—6.
