Overview

For the ninth year running, craft beer lovers will have the opportunity to sample fresh-hopped beers in Wellington. The process, which connects brewers with hops from the bine within 24 hours of plucking, typically results in more aroma and more flavoursome beer. Hopstock rounds up some of the freshest creations across Wellington's best beer venues over five days.

The 2021 New Zealand hop harvest will be celebrated from 21–26 April with 26 special beers pouring along the trail from the Garage Project Taproom to Mean Doses and Parrotdog. Over 20 venues are involved, and each have exclusive pouring rights to their beer. There's no charge to attend; simply head along to any participating venue and get involved in fresh-hopped lagers, English-style IPAs and hazy red pale ales.
