Let's Get Meowdy

Overview

The Roxy Cinema is hosting a special event in celebration of huge cinematic flop, Cats. The Let's Get Meowdy movie night is an interactive experience and encourages attendants to get involved with the big picture.

On Friday, 6 November cinema-goers are encouraged to sing along, clap, purr, hiss and hairball cough when the time feels right. The event will feature a cat-themed intermission, as well as a pop-up bar selling a special 'Jellice Juice' cocktail in true Cats fashion. Drinks can be bought throughout the film.

Cats is a musical fantasy story directed by Tom Hooper and stars Judi Dench, James Corden, Ian McKellen, Ray Winstone, Idris Elba and many more. The film is a remake of the classic musical musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Inspired by T.S. Elliot's poetry collection Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, the stage show first hit the stage in 1981 and has had many moments in the limelight since.

Tickets for the event are $15.
