Overview

While in New Zealand for a performance at Laneway Festival, Little Dragon will make their way down to Wellington for a sideshow.

Formed in Sweden way back in the ’90s, Little Dragon perform a genre-bending fusion of pop, electronica and R&B. For their latest and fourth album, Nabuma Rubberband, the group tipped their hat to Janet Jackson by bringing back the slow jam. The album features cameos from the likes of US hip hop trio De La Soul and Danish songwriter Robin Hannibal and has earned them a nomination at the 2015 Grammy Awards.

Word has it that the band's name was inspired by the nickname front woman Yukimi Nagano earned after throwing "fuming tantrums" in the recording studio.

On this visit they will be joined by fellow Laneway performer, Chicago MC Vic Mensa.
