Overview

The musical masterminds of Mermaidens have put together this year's Mermgrown Festival, kicking off on Saturday, March 21 at the Workingmens Bowling Club.

The one-day outdoor festival features the Mermaidens, who are celebrating eight years playing together and have announced this will be their last gig for a while.

Alongside the psychedelic rock three-piece comes a host of performers including Kane Strang, Womb, Big Flip the Massive, Ana Te Kotiro, Motte, Zero Cool, Freya Daly Sadgrove, Ladus and Black Spider Stomp. While these artists sing their hearts out across two stages there will also be an art market, merch, and food and drink stalls to explore.

Food comes from Two Girls One Taco with their fresh Mexican fare, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available to purchase. Second release tickets are available from $40 with children aged 13 and under allowed in for free. 40 percent of profits will be donated to Wellington Rape Crisis.
