Overview

The New Zealand Improv Festival puts the country’s best improvisers together in one city for five days of making stuff up on the spot.

Members of the country’s top improv theatre companies - Wellington Improv Troupe, The Court Jesters, PlayShop, ConArtists, and Body in Space - will be joined by international guests from Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Mexico to present new work that includes an improvised three-act play, a spontaneous fairytale, a choir singing songs they’ve never heard before in unison and a whole lot of zombies.

The festival will also feature masterclass workshops for practitioners to develop their skills and collaborate on new formats. Improvisors and encouraged to join the practitioner group on Facebook.
