Overview

There's so much to enjoy in the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra (NZSO) experience for 2020. The much-acclaimed Shed Series not only returns to Shed 6 in Wellington but also debuts at Auckland's Q Theatre in 2020.

Shed Series celebrates the best of the full orchestra as they perform a mix of classic pieces and modern favourites led by conductor Hamish McKeich and Gemma New. More than just about the music, the series is an opportunity to relax and share an experience with friends, family or your significant other. Get settled with a drink and a bite to eat and enjoy the show.

Symmetries (January 31) is an exhilarating mix of high-energy works, all tied together by rhythm, phrase, structure and mathematics; Wai (April 18) features five 20th and 21st century works on the theme of water; Cadence (August 28) is filled with rhythm and dance; and season closer Kabarett (November 13) celebrates the music that flourished in the 1920s and 1930s.
