Overview

An inclusive pool party bringing good tunes and good vibes for the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies has been such a successful venture, it's returning as a monthly event.

Recognising that often public swimming pools can be a bit of a minefield for the queer community, Wellington City Council's  'Out in the Pool Party' gives a safe place for anyone to dive, swim, aqua jog or just splash around.

Held at Keith Spry Pool on the first Sunday of each month,  features include gender-neutral bathrooms and changing rooms, lane space to swim and aqua jog, instructors on hand for tips and coaching, and good tunes pumping.

There's no extra cost for these sessions, just register online before showing up and paying the normal pool entry fee ($6.60 for adults and $3.90 for children).
