Overview
Paul Kelly is one of Australia's most loved and respected singer-songwriters. In his illustrious career he has claimed ten ARIA Awards, been inducted into the Australian Music Hall of Fame, been appointed as an Officer of the Order and ticked off nearly every musical style in existence — though it seems his favourite slant is a fusion of folk, rock and country.
Just this year Kelly released his 23rd full-length work, Life Is Fine. Named after a poem by American poet Langston Hughes, the album is about "never knowing what's around the corner". The release earned Kelly his first ever #1 album as a recording artist and follows his interpretation of William Shakespeare as music.
To celebrate he will embark on a three-date theatre tour around New Zealand, including Wellington's Opera House. Joining Kelly for the show will be Lyttelton folk-country-punk group The Eastern and Australian duo Busby Marou.
