Pinot Palooza 2019
Four hours. One glass. 100 wines to taste.
May 01, 2019
The event recognised as 'the largest pinot noir festival in Australasia' is heading back to our shores for its fourth year with the crowd-pulling feature of unlimited wine tastings.
Pinot Palooza lands courtesy of Revel (formerly Bottle Shop Concepts), the people who brought us Game of Thrones-themed wine tasting event Game of Rhones and something called "wine edutainment".
Rather than confuse punters with umpteen varietals of buttery chards, the event focuses purely on the best pinot noir from across New Zealand and Australia. Last year over 60 wineries were involved, including Waipara's Black Estate, Queenstown's Gibbston Valley, Cromwell's Mt Difficulty and Central Otago's Akarua. This year's event will be held across two sessions at Harbourside Function Venue on Sunday, September 8. The lineup of 70 wineries is still yet to be announced.
The best part is that unlimited wine tastes are included in the ticket price. To soak up all that vino, a selection of food vendors will be on hand.
