Overview

Sampa the Great returns to New Zealand this October, after her killer performance at 2017's Splore Festival.

Her recent epic singles 'Final Form' and 'OMG' got fans and critics fizzing with anticipation for her album The Return. Released this September on Ninja Tune Records, the album explores what it means to feel at home and to feel excluded. Raised in Zambia, she moved to the USA before settling in Australia, where she's been making a name for herself ever since. Earlier this year she played her first live shows in Africa to great acclaim. There the album formed into this journey of redefining what home means both physically and spiritually.

Don't miss this opportunity to catch her in Auckland and Wellington. If you caught her Glastonbury performance you'll know she's a fierce presence live, and one of the freshest hip hop artists out there.

Catch her at Wellington's Meow on Friday, 11 October.
