Overview

Non-profit, marine wildlife conservationists Sea Shepherd are holding a public fundraiser to support their upcoming 2014/15 Antarctic campaign. In addition to confronting Japanese whale poachers, the voyage will include Operation Icefish, a campaign targeting the illegal fishing of Patagonian and Antarctic Toothfish in the Southern Ocean.

As part of the fundraiser, musicians Hollie Smith, Jamie McDell and Matiu Te Huki will take the stage for individual performances, speakers Captain Peter Hammarstedt, Peter Young and MC James Nokise will be on hand to further explain the organisation and there will be a silent auction. The Sea Shepherd ship 'Sam Simon' will also be moored in the Wellington port (Taranaki wharf).

The ticket price includes canapés (highly unlikely include any kind of seafood).
