Art fiends needing a little pep can stroll over to the Embassy on Wednesday or Thursday this week. International art conference Semi Permanent is in town for two days, bringing with it a haul of inspiration creators from all fields.

The smorgasbord of inspiration includes talks from San Francisco-based illustrator and letterer Jessica Hische (also known as "that Drop Cap Girl"), Bildholm Svenson the co-founder of BVD, the Swedish branding and design company behind Absolut, IKEA and H&M, Reg Mombassa, the muso-artist who designed the Sydney Olympics Heroes segment in the Closing Ceremony and roaming photographer Anton Kratochvil who’s captured the likes of Bono as well as Mongolian street children.
