Overview

Spring into Tawa, an annual community event which turns 20 years old next year, is back on Saturday, 19 October. It brings together a wide range of local and regional stallholders, food trucks, entertainers and musicians and offers an opportunity for families and communities to get outside and celebrate the warmer weather.

Hosted by volunteers on behalf of the Tawa Residents' Association, the festival is a day-long, not-for-profit event. Each year, a new charity is selected and donations are made, to keep promoting the spirit of giving back. Outpawed, an organisation protecting cats and kittens that have been forgotten or abandoned, has been chosen as the organisation that will benefit from the day's festivities.

The event takes place on the main road in Tawa, with plenty of on-street parking in the streets surrounding the event if you'll be driving into the suburb. Entry is completely free and an event info caravan, located on the bus stop on the main road opposite Essex Street, will be offering free sunscreen and water to all attendees.

Grab your friends, your family or even your neighbour and spend the day enjoying the best that Tawa has to offer.
